Canons Park, Edgware, London

As part of my Artist Residency at North London Collegiate School I taught classes and created a series of drawings culminating in a solo exhibition. The school is located in Canons Park where there was a magnificent early 18th century house built by 1st Duke of Chandos. I created a series of layered pieces incorporating graphite rubbings from the buildings with drawings of flowers from the park and gardens. The wire I used was inspired from the fences used to cut up the former estate into fields. The bright colours reflect the energy and dynamism found in the school.
